Introduction to the BOSTON Regional Table
Submitted by ncrdu2 on May 13, 2006 - 9:46pm. --- Boston RegionThe Boston region continues to shed light on the complexities of the Catholic Church and the relationship between the institution and the lay Catholic community. This section of the NCR cafe is devoted to issues particular to the Boston diocese and other diocese within the New England region. If a topic takes on national proportion, a new section will be opened to accomodate a wider conversation.
We invite you to add topics for discussion.

Thank You to all Boston clergy who participated in the pilgrimage
Submitted by Maryann on June 28, 2006 - 3:57pm. --- Boston RegionMoments ago I saw the picture in the June 30 NCR, page 3, of Boston Clergy who prostrate themselves as part of the healing pilgrimage and novena. What a wonderfully moving gesture. I think ALL dioceses throughout the United States need such novena. I know various attempts have been made in a few dioceses. I am not aware of any other diocese whose clergy have been humble enough to so prostrate themselves.

A recent survey of members of Voice of the Faithful suggests that participants in the grass-roots reform group have a high level of commitment to the Catholic church.
“Our members come from the heart of the Catholic church in America,” said James E. Post, the group’s outgoing president. “The study convincingly shows that we are who we claim to be -- Catholic women and men who share a deep commitment to their church.”
