TAC to convert?
From the website of the Traditional Anglican Communion:
16th October 2007
Statement authorised by the TAC Primate
" The College of Bishops of the Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC) met in Plenary Session in Portsmouth, England, in the first week of October 2007. The Bishops and Vicars-General unanimously agreed to the text of a letter to the See of Rome seeking full, corporate, sacramental union. The letter was signed solemnly by all the College and entrusted to the Primate and two bishops chosen by the College to be presented to the Holy See.
The letter was cordially received at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The Primate of the TAC has agreed that no member of the College will give interviews until the Holy See has considered the letter and responded."

'The Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC) is a worldwide association of orthodox Anglican churches, working to maintain the catholic faith and resist the secularization of the Church. Our member churches comprise more than 400,000 members on 6 continents.'
Ut Unim Sint!
'Con-vert': (from the Latin:
'Con-vert': (from the Latin: to turn with), to change one's religious beliefs or adopted new beliefs. Their cannot be unity with out some measure of conversion, they would have to accept Catholic teachings including sacramental theology (possibly including conditional confirmation and orders).
The Primate of the TAC is a former Catholic Priest who left and married. For him to return as a Bishop offers some legal complications, which he is aware of and does not want them to interfere in the process.
As far as the reaction when everything is sorted out (and hopefully they do enter into communion), I think you will see a mixture of both, firs the formal professions and then the more personal greetings.
That is not the traditional
That is not the traditional meaning of the word "convert" when discussing those who have already been baptized as Christians.
UPDATE: the is a video
UPDATE: the is a video available featuring their head bishop (who has offered to resign if needed) available from their website.

Why was the word 'convert'
Why was the word 'convert' used here? I hope the pope does not think 'conversion'. Benedict should not ask for resignation from anyone but should offer a warm welcome and invite the bishop to Rome and ask him to continue his good work. However I think there will be ring kissing, knee bending and a showing of authority instead of the affection of a family get together.....
